Based Trading Cards Drops “Back in Time,” the 80s-Inspired Anthem Behind The Simulation Collection

Based Trading Cards has released its first single, “Back in Time,” now available on Spotify and Apple Music. The song has been used heavily across the brand’s social media and marketing campaigns, quickly becoming a fan favorite among collectors and followers of the Based Trading Card collections and brand.

Written by Alladan Flinn, “Back in Time” was originally created to support promotion for Orange Pill in a Pack: Series 4 - The Simulation, but the response from fans inspired the brand to make it available on streaming platforms so listeners could enjoy it anytime. The synth and 80’s pop fueled track is also paired with a nostalgic music video filled with 1980s-inspired imagery that reflects the spirit of Based Trading Cards.

Both the song and video tap into a simpler, more connected era, when fashion, music, relationships, family, and friendships felt more authentic. With its analogue heart in a digital world, “Back in Time” captures the same 80s essence that Based Trading Cards continues to bring into its brand, storytelling, and collector experience.

Following the release of “Back in Time,” Based Trading Cards plans to continue expanding its creative world through music, with additional songs expected to arrive in the coming months. The brand is currently working toward a larger music release, with plans to package the new material into an album by late summer or early fall. For Alladan Flinn and the Based Trading Cards team, the music is another way to deepen the story behind the cards, connect with fans beyond the pack-opening experience, and bring the brand’s nostalgic vision to life in a new format.
