Experience the art of trading cards

Creating with conviction, craftsmanship, and purpose. Stories worth sharing. Objects worth holding onto.

The Things Worth Making Should Be Made to Last

In a world engulfed by screens, endless scrolling, and mass-produced content, we believe in making something real. Get back to the dinner table. Open a pack, not an app. Hold onto the moments that bring people together.

Come for the cardboard. Stay for the community.

Based is built on principles before profits, with the collector at the center of everything we create. Our mission is to remind people that physical connection will always be more powerful than digital distraction.

The art is in the details

01

Original art & storytelling

Every card begins with an original idea, brought to life through art and a story worth remembering.

02

Finite supply

What we make is intentionally limited, because meaning grows when something cannot be reproduced.

03

Craftsmanship without compromise

From the stock and finish to the smallest detail,

every card is made to be held onto for years to come.

04

Collector first

Every release is built around the experience of opening, holding, collecting, and sharing cards worth passing on.

The Founder
Behind the Vision

Alladan founded Based Trading Cards as a lifelong collector with a vision for creating premium trading card products that place craftsmanship, storytelling, and the collector experience at the center. His work inside the hobby includes serving on the CTCA advisory board, researching and co-authoring Cardboard Kings: The History of Trading Cards, co-creating and co-hosting Voice of the Hobby with Nick Jarman, and working closely with RRD to push what is possible in trading card production.

For Alladan, the hobby is about more than the cards themselves. It is about bringing people together, sharing stories, and creating memories that last.

Build inside the hobby

Alladan's work is rooted in the hobby, from researching its history to helping shape its future.
