Voice of the Hobby, hosted by Nick Jarman of the Certified Trading Card Association (CTCA) and Alladan Flinn of Based Trading Cards, is now available on all major podcast platforms, including YouTube. New episodes go live every Wednesday afternoon, bringing collectors, shop owners, breakers, investors, brands, creators, and industry insiders into real conversations about the trading card world.
Built around the idea of “One Hobby. Every Perspective. One Voice,” the podcast dives into the people, trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping the future of trading cards and collectibles. Nick and Alladan bring decades of combined experience across collecting, business, technology, product development, and hobby innovation, creating a show that goes beyond surface-level talk and into the issues that matter most to collectors and the industry.
The first episode, “The Hobby Has a Voice,” features Brian Ludden, founder of LUDEX, for a wide-ranging conversation about hobby health, governance, why people collect, and how technology is helping collectors better understand and manage their collections. Episode 2, “More Than a Break,” features Sara “Ripz” Brown, who joins Nick and Alladan for a candid discussion about breaking, building a personal brand, creating community, earning trust, and the responsibilities that come with being a content creator in today’s rapidly evolving card market.
Episode 3, “The Hobby in Focus,” welcomes Jeremy Lee of Sports Cards Live for an in-depth conversation about sports cards, collecting, hobby media, transparency, community, and where the industry may be headed next. With years of experience interviewing collectors, dealers, content creators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, Jeremy brings a thoughtful perspective on what collectors want, what the hobby needs, and how the industry can continue to grow in a healthy way.
Whether you are a lifelong collector, investor, shop owner, breaker, brand builder, or simply passionate about the culture of trading cards, Voice of the Hobby is where the hobby comes to talk. The first three episodes are now live on all platforms, including YouTube. New episodes premiere every Wednesday afternoon.
